just-aches: So I randomly decided to search for drawings on Tumblr, and I found your self portrait. It's also a coincidence that our names are both Morgan! But I absolutely LOVE your artwork. I'm a junior in high school and I'm planning on going into illustration in college and honestly, you're my new inspiration.

Anonymous: Do you use reference photos for your color pencil drawings?

My Illustration teacher always says the foundation to a good drawing is good reference! So I tried to use a lot more for this last illustration, I used about 10 separate photos and combined them and for a lot of my hair I just made it up, lol. For most of my other ones I work with a combination of picture, life, and my head.

plagued-by-reality: I really like drawing, and I just started my first art class in high school this semester (I'm in grade 9) and my art teacher is already sitting me down and gettinga portfolio ready with me! She tells me she wants me to take a double credit AP class once I get into 11th grade!Even though I'm only 14,I really want to study art like you and be as good as you are, because you're amazing! I just wanted to let you know that I really look up to you :)

Also props to you for starting AP art classes so early! I’m sure you’ll far exceed me though I only got really serious about art my senior year! lol

about ten hours all together! But it depends on the size and detail I’m doing! :)
